Offer permanent residency to your skilled sponsored workers through the Employer Nomination Scheme.

Overview

What is 186 Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS)?

The Subclass 186 Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) is Australia's primary permanent employer-sponsored visa. It has three streams: the Temporary Residence Transition (TRT) stream for 482 holders who have worked for you for at least 2 years; the Direct Entry stream for skilled workers who have not held a 482 visa; and the Labour Agreement stream. GO Access Law advises employers and nominees on which stream best applies, prepares comprehensive applications, and manages the full process through to permanent residency grant.

Best for:Employers who want to permanently retain a valued skilled overseas worker, and skilled workers seeking permanent residency through their Australian employer.
How We Work

Our Process

A clear, structured approach that keeps you informed at every step.

01

Stream Selection

We assess whether TRT (from 482), Direct Entry, or Labour Agreement is the correct stream based on the nominee's visa history and circumstances.

02

Skills Assessment (if required)

For Direct Entry, a formal skills assessment is required. We identify the correct assessing body and guide the nominee through the assessment process.

03

Nomination Preparation

The employer's nomination is prepared demonstrating that the position is genuine, the salary meets requirements, and the nominee's skills match the role.

04

Visa Application

The nominee's visa application is lodged concurrently with all supporting documentation — identity, health, character, and employment evidence.

05

Permanent Residency Grant

On grant, we advise on permanent residency rights, travel conditions, and the pathway to Australian citizenship for eligible individuals.
